Our contemporary custom service has developed from designing and manufacturing high quality own design ranges. Through our design, technical and engineering skills we ensure that we understand the exact requirements of the designer from detailing to lighting levels and can offer some expert advice on both. We have over the years taken on the most challenging of custom projects including Pearl restaurant in a Grade I listed building and the exacting environment of Harrods Manshop.
The Chef’s Room at The Dorchester has a 3 metre long pendant in an oval shape. An internal dimmable ambient light gives a warm intimate glow to the fitting whilst low voltage spotlights enable the hotel to highlight individual place settings through the remote control panel. ‘Bubble’ effects pattern the ceiling providing a link with the official name of the room, The Krug Room.
Large pendants for Marks and Spencer were designed to give mood lighting to certain store areas and were manufactured to enable easy installation for speedy store refitting. For Coast fashion stores silk and glass chandeliers were made in batches, stored and delivered upon call-off.
Our versatility means we work in any material including:
• glass/crystal (hand blown glass to Swarovski crystal to plate glass)
• acrylics, polycarbonates, pvc, Class 1 fire rated items, fabric covered
• ceramics (crackle glazes, mirror finishes etc)
• shades up to 8m in size, custom shapes (cotton, silk, parchments, vellums, suedes etc)
• metals (brass, mild and stainless steel – finishes including polished/ and satin nickel/chrome/brass, bronze patina, black nickel, powder coat etc)
• woods (beech, walnut, wenge, oak, rubberwood, veneered and lacquered mdf etc)
• leathers/suedes (from super soft calf skin to saddle leather, leather ropes, man-made alternatives, stitching and bonding)
We can supply fittings including:
• IP44 rated
• low energy, leds, low voltage, emergency, metal halide, battery powered
• fire-rated to meet Building Regulations – Fire Safety Part B
All our lights are made in accordance with BS EN 60598 and are CE marked. Our factory is a member of the Lighting Association and is a participant in its Code of Practice.
